The Hornet is Zach Fowler's simplest slingshot, built by SimpleShot to his exact shape. A thin, flat frame with tie-on slots and nothing to fuss over. At 48 grams it disappears into a pocket, a tackle box or the top of a day pack, and it comes out ready to shoot.

Bands attach over the top with the wrap-and-tuck method, so any flat bandset in the store fits. Keep the bandset that suits your ammo on the frame and the other in the box. When it's time to re-band, the Band Tying Tape (60m Dispenser) gives you a clean, fast tie, and Clay Ammo (500 Rounds) keeps you shooting in the backyard without worrying about what's behind the target.

Moulded from a durable thermoplastic, the Hornet is also one of the few frames offered in clear. Prefer band changes without the tying? The Scout LT2 uses integrated clips: loosen, drop the bands in, tighten. Want the same Fowler shape with clips built in? Look at the Sparrow.

The Hornet Slingshot

Pure simplicity. The Hornet uses the wrap-and-tuck method for band attachment and comes with band tying tape, two bandsets and ammo samples so you can start straight away.

The Hornet takes its cues from Fowler's original everyday-carry slingshot: a small, light frame that does its job without any fuss. Thin, flat and 48 grams, with simple tie-on slots that take your bands over the top.

It ships as a complete starter: two bandsets, clay and steel ammo samples, tying tape, a lanyard and a spinner target. Set up some cans and let fly.

Why Choose the Hornet

The Hornet is the entry point to the Fowler frames: the simplest shape, the lightest weight and everything you need to start shooting in the box. If you want a slingshot to carry rather than display, this is the one.

Genuine Fowler Shape

Designed by Zach Fowler of Fowler's Makery and Mischief and built by SimpleShot to his specification. The Hornet is the stripped-back sibling of the Sparrow, with the same fork geometry and a thinner, flatter handle.

Wrap and Tuck

Bands tie on over the top using the wrap-and-tuck method with the tape supplied. It takes a few goes to get neat, then it becomes second nature, and it means any flat bandset in the store fits the frame.

Complete in the Box

A clay bandset and a steel bandset, a sample of each ammo, a spool of band tying tape, a paracord lanyard and an 80mm spinner target. Add safety glasses and a backstop and you are shooting the day it arrives.

Light and Tough

Moulded from a durable thermoplastic to SimpleShot's quality standards. 48 grams and 13 mm thick, so it rides in a pocket on a hike or a fishing trip and shrugs off being thrown in a bag.
